This Tuesday will be the last Tuesday Life Drawing session of the year and to celebrate the winter festivities we’ll have posing for us 2 models as a treat. they are our super Adam and Hope. Not a couple but some of our most professional models we have. Hop is into theatre so the poses will tell stories between a couple. Very expressive and dynamic.
To keep warm we’ll be serving mulled wine and xmas tapas, some hot some not but nice for xmas.
Hope you can make it.
I see you there.
If not, have a nice and peaceful winter vacation with friends and family
Henry Martin, is one of the first artists who came to our Life Drawing+ sessions. That was back in 2012 when we were based in Islington Mill artist’s studios in Salford. Lots have happened since then but what I never expected is to see so many attendants developing as artists. Henry Martin is one of them and is on the rise.
He’s based in Manchester and he’s better know for his colourful watercolours of Manchester Parade’s gay people. They are just fantastic and worth having a look.
But now… But now Henry surprises us with very different material of work. I knew that he was painting the urban scape of Manchester… but what I didn’t know is that he’s had been given permission to paint inside the walls of the Strangeways prison. That’s such an institution in Manchester known by everyone yet no one has seen inside apart from its inhabitants and personnel.
W H A T . A G R E A T . O P P O R T U N I T Y !
I can’t wait to see Henry’s new watercolours sketches and oil paintings and see the inside of this emblematic building I’ve always looked from the outside. The exhibition is for two weeks at the new Art shop in Oldham Street CASS ART.
Who’s coming with me?
You can follow Henry’s art on his:

Anyone is up for going to see Alison Scotts‘s artwork exhibited at Stretford Public Hall this weekend?
This is a group exhibition in which she’ll be exhibiting along other artists that have been coming to Life Drawing+ for years such as our beloved Jayne Pellington.
Their work is just great and of incredible quality and if you have a space in your home or work premises where you’d like enjoying amazing prints and paintings, come and see what these and other artists are going to exhibit.
There is more! Mr. Scruff will be Dj’ng for the preview on Thursday evening so get your tickets now! This is in this listed building, so it will be a great opportunity to visit this mixture of gothic style piece of architecture with a great atmosphere created with great music and art.
